Functional Mobility

What It Is:

Functional mobility is the ability to move independently through environments using walking, crawling, or assistive devices.

Why It Matters:

Poor mobility can affect safety, participation, and independence at school, home, and in the community.

How Prairie Grit Helps:

  • Real-world movement training (stairs, surfaces, inclines)

  • Equipment as needed (walkers, braces)

  • Goal-based task practice
